  • Position Overview:
  • Southeast Veterinary Neurology (SEVN) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Employee Experience to lead our HR department and cultivate an environment immersed in the overall success of our organization. The Head of Employee Experience will play a pivotal role in shaping our organizational culture, strengthening team member well-being, and aligning HR strategies with business objectives. This senior leadership position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and a passion for fostering a principled, inclusive, and supportive workplace. This role will be working with our practice managers at each of our locations to ensure each team member is connected to our culture and mission.

Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Team Member Lifecycle Management:

  • Manage the personnel lifecycle from start to end, facilitating the creation of high-performing teams and ensuring positive experiences for SEVN team members upon exit.

  • Budget for team member-related initiatives and programs, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support organizational goals.

  • Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring it is efficient, effective, and aligned with the organization's needs.

  • Develop onboarding processes and development pathways to support team member growth and career advancement.

  • Create cohesive and collaborative workflows between team members and department directors

  • Implement reward programs to recognize and incentivize team member performance and contributions.

  • Provide managerial and leadership competency for performance management, ensuring fair and effective evaluation processes.

  • Implement disciplinary and grievance processes to address issues and maintain a positive work environment.

  • Manage offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions and maintain positive relationships with departing team members.

  • Legal Compliance, Ethics, and Risk Management:

  • Foster an inclusive work environment that promotes diversity, equality, and belonging.

  • Manage HR-related risks and legal matters to protect the organization from liabilities.

  • Stay informed about changes in HR laws and regulations; implement applicable changes

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, protecting the business from legal risks.

  • Maintain awareness of legal responsibilities and implement processes to address grievances and disciplinary issues.

  • Employer Branding:

  • Curate the external brand of SEVN as an employer to attract top talent and ensure a strong team member experience.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Outreach team to curate the external brand of SEVN as an employer, highlighting the organization's values, culture, and team member experience.

  • Stay informed about local market demands on salary and employment conditions, ensuring SEVN offers competitive wages and team member packages.

  • Seek opportunities to capture and share SEVN's talent success stories across various marketing channels to attract top talent and enhance employer branding.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field; MBA in HR preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives and employee initiatives.
  • Experience managing diverse teams and driving organizational change.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive team member relations and foster a culture of inclusion and collaboration.
  • Additional Information:
  • This is a full-time position based out of our Florida locations.
  • This is a hybrid position that will require onsite presence at least 50% of the time.
  • Routine visits to all SEVN locations will be required.
