Stella Best

Stella Best has a diverse work experience spanning over 10 years. Stella most recently worked at Southern Cross Healthcare as a Learning Enablement and Culture Change Lead, where they collaborated with various stakeholders and observed hospital practices to identify areas for improvement. Prior to that, they were an IT Training Specialist at NZ Health Partnerships and an IT Trainer at Universal Communications Group. Stella also held positions as an IT Training Consultant at Pacific Library Project, an IT Education Specialist at Gentrack Ltd, and an IS Trainer at healthAlliance. Stella has experience as a Knowledge Consultant at Allfields Customised Solutions and as a Technical Writer contracted by Zespri International. Earlier in their career, they worked as a freelance IT Trainer and Web Designer, providing personalized software training and website solutions. Stella also briefly worked as a Product Specialist at Bacchus.

Stella Best holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Information Systems and Sociology from Massey University, which they completed from 1991 to 1995. During the same period, they also acquired Information Technology Skills. Stella furthered their education at Massey University, where they obtained a Post-graduate Diploma of Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources and training adults from 1994 to 1995.

In 2004, Stella attended the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand and earned a New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) specialized in Workforce Development and Training.

Stella pursued a Master's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching at Victoria University of Wellington in 2004 and 2005. Stella expanded their knowledge in the field of education during this time.

Stella participated in the Certificate IV Workplace Assessors and Trainers Program – TAA40104 at NFQA in 2010, which focused on Workforce Development and Training.

In 2005 to 2006, Stella obtained a Certificate in Web-design with an Associate Level specialization in Web-design from CIW.

Most recently, in 2018, Stella attended Lions International and completed the Emerging Lions Leadership Institute (ELLI) program, which enhanced their understanding of Organizational Leadership.

Besides their formal education, Stella also has additional certifications. Stella obtained a certification in Cybersecurity in Healthcare from Erasmus MC in June 2023. In August 2022, they completed an Instructional Design for ELearning course offered by Udemy. Additionally, they hold a First Aid certification obtained from St Johns Ambulance in April 2022. In October 2021, Stella acquired a certification in Learning Data Analytics from LinkedIn. Furthermore, they completed a Cybersecurity Awareness Training program offered by ESET in August 2018. Finally, they hold a Harmony (Grade 1) certification, but further details regarding the institution and acquisition date are not available.
