Mike Hagbeck

Mike Hagbeck has worked in a variety of roles over the past 30 years. Mike began their career in 1991 as an Administration Officer for the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions. In 1993, they moved to ASIC as a Corporate Regulation Officer. In 1997, they became a Consultant/ Project Manager for LSI Consulting Ltd. In 1999, they took a role as General Manager- Wine Storage for Millers Self Storage. In 2002, they became the Managing Director of Store-It! Self Storage. In 2007, they founded and became the CEO of Extra Space Asia Self Storage. In 2016, they founded and became the CEO of both Store It! Self Storage and Space Next Door. Most recently, in 2019, they became the Chief Executive Officer of StorHub Self Storage.

Mike Hagbeck has a diverse educational background. Mike obtained a BA in Political Science and Government from The Australian National University between 1986 and 1989. Mike then obtained a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australia between 1993 and 1995. Mike then went on to pursue an MBA in Strategy, Marketing & Organisational Change from AGSM @ UNSW Business School between 1995 and 1996, and also completed an MBA-Exchange Student program at Copenhagen Business School in 1996. In 2009, they earned a Certificate of Real Estate Investment Finance from the Asian Public Real Estate Association (APREA). Finally, they obtained a Diploma in Wine & Spirits from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust between 2012 and 2014.
