John Straus has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. John started their career as a Project Mechanical Engineer at H Power Corp., where they conducted research and development activities for DOE and internally funded projects. John then worked at Ansys as a Lead Consulting Engineer and Training Engineer, where they developed training materials and performed customer training for CFD software. John later joined Erigo Technologies LLC as a Senior Engineer, where they conducted engineering research and development activities for DOD funded projects. John then moved on to Paragon Space Development Corporation as a Senior Aerospace Engineer, providing oversight and guidance for CFD simulations and managing engineering projects. John also worked at World View as a Research Engineer and later as the Director of Mission Operations and Lead Launch Engineer, where they led research efforts and managed mission operations functions. John'smost recent role is as a Lead Research and Development Engineer at Space Perspective, where they are responsible for engineering tasks and the development of flight plans.
John Straus received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, which they attended from 1980 to 1985. John then pursued a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, completing their doctoral studies from 1985 to 1991.
