Scott Ashley

Scott Ashley is a Senior Research Scientist at Spark Therapeutics, Inc., where work focuses on the development of AAV therapeutics for lysosomal storage disorders. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where responsibilities involved project design and execution, in vivo CNS studies, mentoring, and scientific communication. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Scott developed pre-clinical programs for mono-genetic liver disorders and coordinated multidisciplinary in vivo studies. Scott holds a Doctoral Degree in Gene/Genetic Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from Washburn University.
