Dawn Merced

Dawn serves as the Senior Director of Programs for all of Special Citizens. In her role, Dawn leads the Residential, Day-Services, Nursing, and Behavior Support teams. With 20+ years of experience supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, she has consistently built and lead diverse teams to maximize success in a variety of community-based programs. Motivated by the power of effective teamwork, Dawn is often reciting her favorite motivational quote, “One band, one Sound.” Dawn holds a masters degree in social work from Columbia University, and joined Special Citizens in April, 2022.
