Sarah Wills

Sarah Wills has over 20 years of work experience in human resources. Sarah started their career as an HR Specialist at VECO USA in 2000. Sarah then served as the HR/Payroll Manager at Haggen Corp. from 2003 to 2007. In 2007, Sarah joined SPIE as the Director of Human Resources. Additionally, they were the Past President of Mt. Baker SHRM from 2001 to 2007.

Sarah Wills obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business Administration from Western Washington University, from 1995 to 1998. Sarah also holds several certifications, including the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI, obtained in August 2021. Sarah has additional certifications such as Understanding Intellectual Property, Human Resources: Using Metrics to Drive HR Strategy, Hiring an Employee for Managers, Holding Your Team Accountable, Make the Move from Individual Contributor to Manager, Managing Skills for Remote Leaders, New Manager Foundations, Onboarding New Hires as a Manager, Productive Leadership Tips, Uncovering Unconscious Bias in Recruiting and Interviewing, and How to Handle Poor Performers. Sarah obtained these certifications from various institutions, including LinkedIn. Sarah also holds the SPHR certification from HR Certification Institute - HRCI, obtained in August 2018, and the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM, obtained in July 2015.
