Mariel Del Rio has a diverse work experience in marketing and communications. Mariel started their career as a Creative Services Coordinator at United Way of Miami-Dade in 2011 before becoming a Communications Associate, where they developed and implemented integrated marketing plans. In 2013, Mariel joined Springer Nature Group as a Library Channel Marketing Specialist for Latin America & Caribbean. Mariel then progressed to become a Global Product Marketing Manager, and later took on the role of Content Marketing Manager for Strategic Projects, focusing on institutional positioning and messaging. Most recently, they served as a Senior Marketing Manager for Online Communities, responsible for improving customer engagement and developing digital channels. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Marketing - Communities at Springer Nature Group.
Mariel Del Rio pursued their education at Florida International University, where they completed their Bachelor of Science in Communications from 2006 to 2010. Mariel'smajor was in Public Relations, with a minor in Business Administration. Following this, Mariel attended the Florida International University Chapman Business School from 2011 to 2013, where they attained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Marketing. In addition to their formal education, Mariel acquired an Advanced Google Analytics certification from LinkedIn in November 2020.
