David Alexander

Goaltending Coach at St. Louis Blues

David Alexander is the current goaltending coach for the St. Louis Blues. Prior to that, they were with Hockey Canada as part of their Goaltending Advisory Board from June 2016 to June 2017. Before that, they were the goaltending coach for the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL from July 2013 to July 2017. David is also the inventor of the XTracker, a product that improves the athletic posture of ice hockey goaltenders and provides visual restrictions to improve their puck tracking capabilities. David was with NetWork Goaltending as their head instructor from November 2014 to August 2018. Prior to that, they were the co-founder and COO of Double Blue Sports Analytics from June 2012 to June 2016. David has also been a goalie coach for Hockey Canada's Team Atlantic Men's U17 from June 2009 to December 2009 and the University of Maine Black Bears from August 2008 to May 2013. David was also a goaltending consultant for Hockey Canada's Team Atlantic Men's U17 from June 2008 to December 2008.

David Alexander has a Bachelor of Education from the University of New Brunswick. David majored in Education and their focus was on teaching.

David Alexander reports to Craig Berube, Head Coach. They work with Craig MacTavish - Assistant Coach, Glen Wesley - Player Development Coach, and Dan Stewart - Goalie Development Coach.
