Rudi Roosen

Rudi Roosen currently serves as Chief Digital Officer at Groep Hasselt since October 2023, where contributions include supporting digitalization efforts through experience in financial management and robotic process automation. In addition to this role, Rudi Roosen has been a Bijzoner Rekenplichtige at Brandweerzone Zuid West Limburg since January 2015 and has held the position of Financial Director at the city of Hasselt since January 2014, overseeing financial operations across various municipal entities. Previous experience includes serving as Director of Hasselts Energiebedrijf from March 2012 to 2016 and guest lecturing at PHL in 2011 and 2012. Rudi Roosen's career in local government began as Diensthoofd lokale economie/GIS coördinator at Stad Hasselt from September 1996 to January 2000, after a brief stint as a junior consultant at Fiduciaire Moores Rowland in 1996. Rudi Roosen holds a Master's degree in Applied Economic Sciences from KU Leuven, along with earlier education at Sint Pieters college Lommel.
