Rehan Smit

Rehan Smit has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Rehan started their career as a Pharmacist Intern at Sandoz Pharmaceuticals in 2005. Rehan then worked as a Pharmacy Locum at Princess Royal University Hospital before joining the Department of Health South Africa as an HIV/TB Pharmacist in 2007. In 2008, they joined Sandoz as a Production Pharmacist and later took on roles such as Production Manager, Team Lead SAP Implementation, Planning Manager, and Head PMO Europe Solids & India. Rehan moved to Novartis in 2016 as the Site Head Holzkirchen for Novartis Technical Operations. During their time at Novartis, they held positions including Head Quality Transformation and Head Strategy Novartis Quality. Rehan joined STADA Group in 2020 as the VP Technical Operations Strategy, PMO & Integration and currently serves as the SVP TechOps Strategy & Integration.

Rehan Smit completed a B.Pharm degree in Pharmacy from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they pursued a BSc. Biology degree in Biochemistry and Psychology from the same university from 1999 to 2001.
