Carla Rennie has a diverse work experience in healthcare, starting in 1995. Carla began their career as a Clinical Nurse in the Trauma & Neurosurgical ICU at Presbyterian University Hospital, part of UPMC Health System. From 1998 to 2001, they worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine at UPMC Health System. In 2000, they joined South Hills Health System as a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Unit.
In 2001, Carla Rennie moved to Stamford Health, where they held several roles. Carla started as a Trauma Coordinator and was responsible for managing trauma center operations. Carla then became the Manager of the Trauma Program and General Surgery Residency Program in the Department of Surgery. In this role, they supported the surgical residency program and supervised 17 residents. From 2014 to 2023, Carla served as the Director of Surgery Administration & Surgical Quality Programs, overseeing various aspects of surgical operations. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Operations, Medical Affairs at Stamford Health.
Additionally, Carla Rennie briefly worked as a Per Diem Clinical Nurse in the Emergency Department at Stamford Hospital from 2003 to 2004.
Carla Rennie, MBA, MSN, RN, TCRN has a diverse education history. Carla obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Quinnipiac University, graduating in 2022. Prior to that, they pursued an MSN degree in Patient Care Services Administration at Sacred Heart University from 2004 to 2006. Carla's educational journey started at the University of Pittsburgh from 1991 to 1995, where they earned their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
