Hilary Laing

Hilary Laing has extensive work experience in the finance and operations sector. Hilary began their career in 2001 as Executive Director at The Walt Disney Company, where they were responsible for the EMEA music division, delivering local releases to support wider corporate strategies. Hilary then moved to Business Link in 2007, where they were the Owner of HAL Accounting. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Member of both WIBN St Albans and WIBN Harpenden. In 2008, they became COO & CFO at Cambridge Network, where they introduced new services to double turnover and implemented financial controls and processes to improve cash flow and collection. In 2014, they became Financial Controller at Equal Experts, where they collaborated with the board and senior management to enable growth by international expansion and customer growth. In 2019, they became Director of Finance & Corporate Services at Helpforce, a national initiative to make greater use of community action in the NHS. In 2020, they became Operations and Finance Director at Social Tech Trust. Most recently, in 2021, they became COO/CFO at Steady.

Hilary Laing attended Durham University from 1989 to 1992, where they earned a degree in Economics.
