Loes Knoop

Loes Knoop is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in collection management within cultural institutions. Currently serving as the Teamleider collectiemanagement at Tropenmuseum, Afrika Museum, and Museum Volkenkunde since April 2022, Loes leads a team across four museums and two external depot locations. Previously held positions include Senior Consultant IPM at Helicon Conservation Support, where responsibilities encompassed integrated pest management, consultancy, and project leadership. Additional roles include Project Manager for the Erfgoeddepot Stad Gent, focusing on inventory, construction, and organization of the new heritage depot, as well as various positions that involved advising on collection management and care. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts from the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, complemented by earlier studies in education and economics.
