Julie Tornow has a decade of work experience in the education and communications fields. Julie began their career in 2010 as an intern at Edelman PR and Qorvis Communications. In 2011, they took on the role of Assistant Account Executive at Zeno Group. From 2012-2014, they worked as a Special Education Teacher, Fellow, and Learning Specialist at Chicago Public Schools, Chicago Teaching Fellows, and The Noble Network of Charter Schools, respectively. In 2016, they took on the role of Learning Specialist at the Chicago Jewish Day School. From 2017-2019, they worked as Senior Program Manager at WE, and from 2019-2021, they were a Project Manager and Senior Associate at 270 Strategies. Currently, they are a Project Lead at Stop Meeting Like This.

Julie Tornow obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Writing Seminars from The Johns Hopkins University in 2011. Julie also holds three certifications, including Certified Instinctive Drives Partner from Instinctive Drives (obtained in September 2022), Developing a Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Program from LinkedIn (obtained in March 2021), and Driving Workplace Happiness from LinkedIn (obtained in March 2021).
