Kobus Potgieter

Kobus Potgieter has over 25 years of experience in the mining industry. From 1997 to 2004, they worked for Samancor in various roles, including RISK MANAGER, MINE MANAGER Mamatwan Mine, IMPROVEMENT SUPERINTENDENT, MANAGER Mining projects, and DEVELOPMENT MANAGER. From 2004 to 2011, they worked for BHP Billiton in various roles, including Growth Manager, Mine Manager Yandi, Global Manager MPN, and Regional Leader. From 2011 to 2012, they worked for Crosslands Resources Ltd as GM Operations. From 2012 to 2015, they worked for Pluton Resources Limited as COO and GM Operations. During this time, their roles included Corporate strategy, project development, operations management, sales, marketing and product delivery, and due diligences. From 2015 to 2016, they worked for BC IRON LIMITED as Manager - Project Development, where they worked on Iron Valley Operations, Buckland FS support, and Diversified Business Opportunities including Solar Salt and Bauxite. From 2015 to 2017, they worked for Optika Solutions Pty. Ltd. as a Senior Consultant. From 2017 to 2022, they worked for AMC Consultants as Business Improvement Manager / Principal Mining Engineer. Currently, they are working for Strandline Resources Limited as Manager Mining.

Kobus Potgieter obtained a BEng(Mining) in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria between 1985 and 1991. Kobus then went on to obtain an MBA in Strategic Planning and Marketing from Heriot-Watt University between 1998 and 2000. In 2014, Kobus Potgieter obtained the GAICD certification.
