Arun K Hariharan

Arun K Hariharan has extensive work experience in the field of life sciences and genomics. Arun is currently working as a Senior Scientist at Strand Life Sciences since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Syngene International Limited as a Deputy Manager, Business Operations, Discovery Biology from July 2021 to November 2021. At Strand Life Sciences, they held multiple roles, including Manager - Research Informatics Lab, Senior Scientist, and Scientist, during their tenure from 2015 to 2021. Arun was responsible for developing a Non-Invasive Liquid Biopsy Assay for Early detection of Oral Cancer using Next-Generation Sequencing and managing the daily operations of the R&D Lab. Arun also standardized and validated Liquid Biopsy Assay for Oncology tests for CAP and NABL accreditation.

Before joining Strand Life Sciences, Arun worked as a Research Associate at GANIT (Genomics Applications aNd Informatics Technology) Labs from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they were a Junior Research Fellow at Seribiotech Research Laboratory from 2009 to 2011, where they conducted research on the molecular mechanism of stress in silkworms. Their earlier experience includes working as a Scientific Analyst Trainee at Molecular Connections in 2009.

In 2019, Arun K Hariharan enrolled at the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Business Administration and Management, General. Arun is expected to complete this program in 2022.
