Josh Worthington

Josh Worthington has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Josh began their career as an Application Support Engineer at Dynata, where they monitored IT infrastructure and wrote scripts for managing escalation policies. Josh then moved on to become a Junior Software Engineer, working on backend development using Scala and databases such as MySQL, Snowflake, Cassandra, and Hadoop. Josh later took on the role of a Software Platform Engineer, where they developed tools and microservices for company-wide support and orchestration. Josh also worked as a Software Engineer at rewardStyle before joining LTK (formerly rewardStyle & LIKEtoKNOW.it) as a Senior Software Engineer and eventually transitioning to the role of Data Platform Manager. In this role, they led a team in developing a platform that enabled multiple teams to leverage big data technologies without requiring extensive knowledge. Josh also worked at evolv consulting as a Data Solutions Consultant, where they built internal proof of concepts and worked directly with clients to achieve specific goals. Josh'smost recent role is that of a Senior Big Data Engineer at StreetMetrics, where they are responsible for large-scale data processing and analysis. Prior to their career in technology, Josh worked as a Science Teacher and Coach at Centennial Christian School and Pyeongtaek International Christian School, respectively. Josh also served as an English Camp Counselor and Teacher at SMIS Global Leader English Camp, where they facilitated English immersion and cultural exposure for Korean students.

Josh Worthington attended Anderson University from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Math, Physics, and Computer Science. Josh later pursued a Teaching License at Anderson University from 2011 to 2012, focusing on Middle School and High School Math/Physics Teaching.
