Andrea de Marco

Andrea de Marco has a diverse work experience. Starting in 2013, they worked as an F&B Attendant at Hilton Malta for a short period. Then, from 2014 to 2017, they held the same position at YUE Bistro by Munchies. In 2017, they joined Eunoia as a Business Intelligence Developer, where they played multiple roles and worked on establishing QA best practices, developing a financial consolidation tool, and creating technical documentation. In 2018, they worked as a Research Intern at Translational Medical Device Lab, focusing on microwave ablation and antenna design. Since 2019, Andrea has been working at Stuart, initially as a Software Engineer in the Automation and Solutions Engineering team, where they built and maintained Python processes. They then progressed to Senior Software Engineer and later became the Software Engineering Manager for the same team, successfully leading various projects and managing a team of engineers. Currently, Andrea works as a Software Engineering Lead in the Payments Engineering team, responsible for Stuart's financial systems and leveraging technologies such as Ruby, NodeJS/Typescript, Python, AWS, React, and Flutter.

Andrea de Marco completed their MSc in Advanced Computational Methods for Aeronautics, Flow Management and Fluid-Structure Interaction from Imperial College London in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Physics from the University of Malta between 2014 and 2018. They attended St. Aloysius College Sixth Form from 2012 to 2014, focusing on Physics, Chemistry, and Pure Mathematics. Andrea's education began at Stella Maris College Gzira, where they received their MATSEC Certification in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Maths from 2002 to 2012.
