Brandon Karas

Brandon Karas is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate finance and energy sectors. Currently serving as Associate General Counsel at Sunnova Energy since September 2024, Karas previously held the position of Director & Senior Counsel at Stonebriar Commercial Finance, where advisory roles focused on significant enterprise legal matters and fundraising initiatives. Prior positions include Senior Associate at Vinson & Elkins, providing counsel on a variety of commercial financing transactions in the energy industry, and Associate at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, advising borrowers, lenders, and investors on finance, M&A, and corporate matters. Karas began legal career as a Summer Associate at Squire Patton Boggs and as a Research Assistant at the University of Notre Dame. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from Notre Dame Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Purdue University Daniels School of Business.
