Andrew Lagree

Andrew Lagree has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Andrew worked at Sunnybrook as a Lead Data Scientist, where they spearheaded the development of AI-powered platforms for breast cancer patients. Andrew also served as a Research Coordinator, managing research projects and facilitating communication between researchers, clinicians, and external partners. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Scientist, designing and implementing AI models for medical imaging and extracting meaningful biomarkers from datasets. Andrew also has experience in academia, working as a Teaching Assistant at York University, where they facilitated laboratory sessions and provided guidance to undergraduate students. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant, collaborating with graduate students in research projects and conducting hands-on experiments. Before entering the field of data science, Andrew worked as an Aquatic Trainer at the City of Toronto, where they conducted training sessions for lifeguards and ensured adherence to safety standards.

Andrew Lagree holds a Master of Science degree in Biomechanics from York University, which they obtained between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Spec. Hon. Bachelor of Science in Health Science at York University from 2012 to 2016. Andrew pursued further education at the University of Toronto, where they earned a Certificate in Data Science from 2021 to 2022, followed by a Certificate in Business Foundations in 2023 and 2024. Additionally, Andrew Lagree has obtained certifications as a Founding Member of the Comparative Oncology AI Working Group in 2023 and as a Member of the Temerty Centre for AI Research and Education in Medicine in 2021.
