Patrick Bakke

Patrick Bakke has held a variety of positions in the tech industry since 2008. Patrick began their career as a Student Admissions Representative and Resident Advisor for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2010, they were a Student Representative on the Board of Directors for the University of Illinois Alumni Association and the ASAP District 5 Conference Director for the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education. In 2011, they became a Software Developer for Contendable. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Senior Developer for Dom & Tom, where they designed RESTful API definitions, architected large-scale Single Page Applications, and implemented micro-sites on Content Management Systems. From 2014 to 2019, they were a Tech Lead at Jellyvision, where they designed, architected, and lead the implementation of converting a large fullstack from (very) legacy freestyle PHP to NodeJS on Koa + Sequelize + GraphQL. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Tech Lead at Rocketmiles, a Booking Holdings company. Patrick is currently a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Superhuman.

Patrick Bakke attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
