Job description

COMPANY BACKGROUND:  Family owned and operated for over 50 years, we are a union, woman-owned, contract plumbing company that offers complete plumbing, site utilities, and mechanical systems. We bid work from Orange County to Santa Barbara for school districts, colleges, hospitals, commercial buildings, government buildings, etc. We also have a 24/7, commercial, plumbing service department. Our office is located in Simi Valley.

POSITION:

We are seeking an organized, fast-paced individual to work independently and as part of a team to provide skilled and confident work. There will be interaction with other departments, field employees, contractors, etc.  This position will report directly to our Senior Project Manager and manage a team of their own.

RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):

  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Manage subcontractor scope and performance contractual requirements
  • Lead mechanical conversations during project coordination meetings
  • Organize, file, and track all project coordination and correspondence
  • Develop and maintain bid packages to subcontractors and vendors
  • Scope out subcontractors and vendors and issues purchase orders
  • Manage all project control procedures and develop additional items as needed
  • Communicate/problem-solve with general contractors, inspectors, project engineers, field employees, other office staff, etc
  • Review, formalize, and approve documentation for successful tracing of projects, including submittals, schedules, SOVs, billings, RFI’s, RFCs Change Orders, project start-ups, close-outs, O&Ms, and as-builts and warranties
  • Manage all manpower requirements for your projects
  • Manage work sequences, long lead items procurement and project schedules
  • Manage testing and inspection records, permits and occupancy notification
  • Learn all software programs utilized in the day-to-day business operations of the company
  • Other related duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Project Engineer or Project Manager experience

  • Proficiency in Bluebeam/PDF, AutoCad, MS Office Software, especially Word and Excel

  • Knowledge of SAGE 100 and/or Procore a plus

  • Organized and Strong Attention to Detail

  • Confident and Strong Management Skills

  • Responsible, Dependable, Trustworthy, and Professional with Strong Work Ethic

  • Self-Starter & Problem Solver

  • Good Command of English Language with excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Willingness to delegate and train

  • I-9 Documents to Prove Authorization to Work in U.S.

  • Able to Pass Drug Screen and Background Check

COMPENSATION:

Full Time

Pay: $ 75-95K
