Steve Sangalli

Steve Sangalli has an extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Steve started their career at Peterson American, where they gained foundational knowledge and rapidly advanced to become the General Manager of a union and non-union plant. In this role, they were responsible for managing manufacturing operations, engineering leadership, procurement, supplier negotiations, lean principles, quality system implementation, factory relocations, employee relations, and customer relations.

After their tenure at Peterson American, Steve joined Applied Materials as the Director of Manufacturing Operations, where they led the transition of manufacturing for two different products and successfully instilled operational stability, consistency, and quality. Steve also served as the Director of Operations, Interconnect Modules and Systems, where they led the integration of an acquisition and maintained relationships with major customers.

Steve then moved to Boart Longyear, where they held several executive positions. Steve served as the Vice President and Managing Director - Sub-Saharan Africa, responsible for turning around the region and preparing for the company's IPO. Steve also served as the Vice President - North American Environmental & Infrastructure Drilling Services, Vice President - Global Supply Chain and Chief Procurement Officer, and Vice President and Managing Director - Asia Pacific. In these roles, they oversaw various aspects of the business, including cost reduction strategies, centralized buying, inventory management, and maximizing acquisition synergies.

Currently, Steve is the President and CEO of Swanson Industries, Inc. Steve also previously held the position of Senior Vice President, Mining at the same company, where they were responsible for growing the mining business globally and managing operations in multiple locations.

Throughout their career, Steve Sangalli has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational management skills. Steve has successfully led large teams, implemented cost-saving measures, negotiated contracts, and achieved impressive results in various organizations and industries.

Steve Sangalli attended Western Michigan University from 1981 to 1985. During this period, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a focus on Marketing/Business Communications.
