Lead Water Resources Scientist - Stormwater Specialist at SWCA

Katy DeYoe's work experience begins in 2008 at McDonald's Corporation, where they worked as a crew member from July 2008 to May 2011, and later as a manager from May 2011 to June 2014. Katy then joined Novak Medical Group as an archiver from January 2012 to May 2016. In 2014, they started working at McGrath Consulting as an Environmental Specialist, handling compliance inspections, stormwater sampling, and preparation of stormwater documents. Katy also managed office operations, administrative duties, and personnel management until September 2022. Currently, Katy is employed at SWCA Environmental Consultants, starting as a Compliance Project Manager in September 2022, and later transitioning to the role of Lead Compliance Project Manager in February 2023.

Katy DeYoe completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Environmental Sciences at San Diego State University, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in the field of storm water quality. In November 2015, they became a Certified Erosion, Sediment and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI) through EnviroCert International, Inc. In the same month, they also became a Qualified Stormwater Practitioner through the California Stormwater Quality Association and California Construction General Permit Training Team. In September 2016, Katy obtained the qualification of Qualified Industrial Stormwater Practitioner (QISP) through the California Stormwater Quality Association. Most recently, in February 2022, they acquired the certifications of Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ) from EnviroCert International, Inc. and Qualified SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) Developer (QSD) from the California Stormwater Quality Association.
