Jack Whitmore is a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Dayton, expected to graduate in 2025. Currently serving as a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op at AtriCure, Inc., Jack is focused on prototyping fixtures and improving manufacturing processes by collaborating with engineers and operators to reduce lead times. Previously, Jack held the position of Manufacturing Engineering Intern at NuVasive, where optimization of manufacturing components was a priority, and problem-solving skills were applied to enhance safety and efficiency. As Hull Team Lead for the University of Dayton Solar Splash project, Jack is part of a team developing a solar-powered boat for competition. Additionally, a past role as a Research Assistant at the University of Dayton Research Institute involved supporting the U.S. Air Force with life prediction models through the replication and analysis of microscopic crack growth, providing essential data for preventative maintenance. Jack has also gained experience as a Pool Technician at SwimSafe Pool Management, Inc. since 2017.
