Fred Kleiterp

Fred Kleiterp was appointed Regional Chief Executive Officer EMEA with effect 1 July 2017 and member of the Corporate Solutions Executive Committee with effect 1 July 2019.

In this function, Fred is responsible for oversight and management of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions business in the Europe, Middle East & Africa region. This includes developing and executing the regional business and financial plans in line with the Business Unit's financial targets.

Fred has almost 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined Swiss Re's Risk Management division in 2001 and, throughout the years, has held various managing, underwriting, product development and CEO positions working across Asia Pacific and Europe. From 2013 to 2017 he was CEO Asia Pacific Corporate Solutions, and from 2014 to 2018 Chairman of the Board of Directors, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Insurance (China). Prior to that, he was Head Europe, Middle East & Africa from 2009-2013.
