Scott Kegler

Scott Kegler is an experienced professional in claims management, currently serving as the Manager of Claim Practices and Development Strategy at Symetra since May 2014. In this role, Scott leads a team supporting various Workforce benefits products and has a strong background in Absence Management, Short-term disability, and Paid Family and Medical Leave, having previously held positions such as Senior Claims Practice Leader and Claims Practice Leader, where responsibilities included developing and managing claim strategies and processes. Scott's career also includes roles such as Implementation Manager at Symetra, where Scott acted as a business lead for complex claim products, as well as senior positions at Liberty Mutual Insurance, MetLife, and Cigna, along with a foundational role as a Contracts Negotiator. Scott holds a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Literature, History, and Criticism from Eastern Connecticut State University, complemented by a summer degree in Asian Theater from Wakayama University.
