SRE Global Lead at Symphony

Emeka A. has a diverse work experience spanning over various companies and roles. Emeka started their career in 2007 as a Technical Support Engineer at Linkserve Telecommunications. From there, they worked as a Satellite Automation Engineer at Link-Sat Communications, where they were responsible for tasks such as network management, documentation, and server installations. In 2010, Emeka joined Cogeco Peer 1 as a Linux System Engineer.

In 2011, Emeka joined nexVortex, Inc. as a Senior Application Engineer, where they remained until 2013. Emeka then became a Senior Engineering Manager at the same company, serving in that role from 2014 to 2015.

Following their time at nexVortex, Inc., Emeka joined Comcast as a WebRTC Application Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Emeka also played a role in cross-team coordination, deployments, and automation.

In 2019, Emeka became the Chief Technical Advisor at Distinct.ly. Emeka'smost recent role is with Symphony.com, where they started as a DevOps Jedi in 2016 and later became the SRE Global Lead in July 2019.

Throughout their career, Emeka has gained experience in various technical roles, including engineering, support, system administration, and project management.

Emeka A. attended Penn State University from 2006 to 2010. Emeka did not obtain a degree or pursue a specific field of study during their time at the university. In February 2013, Emeka obtained the SSVVP certification from The SIP School. In January 2013, they also obtained the SSCA certification from the same institution.
