Shawn Knight

Shawn Knight has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Starting in 2009, Shawn worked as an Assistant Program Director for the Boy Scouts of America, where they developed training manuals, created new programs, and managed human resources activities. In 2010, Shawn joined Central Michigan University as a Resident Assistant and later took on roles such as Junior Systems Administrator and Conference Hall Director. During this time, they gained experience in customer support, technology implementation, and staff supervision. In 2013, Shawn worked as a Human Resources Intern for the State of Michigan, focusing on benchmarking and onboarding programs. In 2012, they served as a Residential Life & Housing Intern for Colorado College. From 2014 to 2016, Shawn held multiple roles as a Graduate Assistant at Clemson University, including LGBTQ Community Development and Student Leadership & Orientation. During this time, they implemented LGBTQ programs, facilitated training courses, and organized events. Shawn then joined UC Davis as a Judicial Affairs Officer, where they adjudicated misconduct cases, coordinated with faculty, and improved database workflows. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as an Assistant Director of Student Conduct & Academic Integrity at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, handling misconduct cases, conducting investigations, and advising on Title IX hearings. Currently, Shawn is employed at Symplicity as a Client Manager and Manager of Support Services.

Shawn Knight has pursued a comprehensive and diverse educational background. In 2009, they began their academic journey at Central Michigan University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General, in 2014.

Building upon their bachelor's degree, Shawn Knight pursued further specialization in the field of education. From 2014 to 2016, they attended Clemson University and completed a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree specializing in Counselor Education/Student Affairs Administration.

Continuing their pursuit of knowledge and professional development, Shawn Knight enrolled in the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2019. Shawn is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration. This program is scheduled to be completed in 2023.

Furthermore, Shawn Knight's educational journey includes a Post-Masters Certificate program in College/University Teaching at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, which they embarked upon in 2020. Shawn is expected to complete this program in 2023.

In addition to their degrees, Shawn Knight has obtained the IDI Qualified Administrator certification from IDI, LLC in August 2022, further enhancing their expertise and qualifications in the field.
