Thomas Egan

Thomas Egan has had extensive work experience in engineering and management roles in various technology companies. Thomas is currently serving as VP of Engineering at Sysdig. Prior to that, they worked as VP of Engineering at Lacework from December 2020 to October 2022. Thomas also held positions as VP of Engineering at MobileIron, Senior Director of Engineering at Nimble Storage, Director of SQA at Bitcasa, Inc., Sr. Manager of QA at Violin Memory, Sr. Manager SET at HP, Sr. Manager of SW QA at 3PAR (Acquired by HP), Senior Software Engineering Manager at IBM, and Software Test Engineering Manager at Softek (Acquired by IBM). Throughout their career, Thomas has demonstrated expertise in areas such as mobile security, software testing, storage ecosystems, and cloud-based platforms.

Thomas Egan earned their BEng degree in Electronics and Information Technology from the Technological University of the Shannon, Athlone Campus, spanning from 1992 to 1995.
