Michael Isbitski

Michael Isbitski has over 22 years of experience in various roles related to cybersecurity and application security. Michael currently serves as the Director of Cybersecurity Strategy at Sysdig. Prior to that, they worked as a Technical Evangelist at Salt Security, where they focused on researching and raising awareness about API security. Before that, they were a Senior Director Analyst at Gartner, specializing in application security, DevSecOps, and container and Kubernetes security. Michael also held managerial positions at Verizon, where they led teams responsible for application vulnerability testing and developed internal security programs. Additionally, they worked as a Network Engineer at Trellis Network Services, where they led migration projects and implemented new systems for clients such as Johnson & Johnson and PSE&G. Overall, Michael Isbitski has expertise in various areas of cybersecurity and has consistently contributed to enhancing security measures throughout their career.

Michael Isbitski earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, which they attended from 2004 to 2008. Michael later pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Assurance from Capitol Technology University, where they studied from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career, including Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), GIAC Mobile Device Security Analyst (GMOB), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester (GXPN), GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
