Edwin Shao

Edwin Shao is the current CEO of Terminal 1. Prior to their current position, Shao served as the Data Science Head for Asia Miles at Cathay Pacific from January 2014 to December 2016. In this role, they oversaw the big data infrastructure and created models to predict member preference, behavior, and business impact.

From January 2014 to December 2017, Shao was also a mentor at blueprint, a tech space in Hong Kong backed by Swire Properties. As a platform for tech collisions, blueprint's goal is to enable connections and align resources to propel entrepreneurship forward.

Shao's previous experience also includes serving as a product manager and consultant for various companies, including LinkedIn and Booz Allen Hamilton. Edwin also has experience in diplomacy and international development.

Edwin Shao has a B.S. in Business and Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a certification in Private Pilot License from the Federal Aviation Administration. Edwin also has a certification in Software Engineering - Basics from Terminal 1.
