Peter Tjeerdsma

Head of CMC at T3 Pharmaceuticals

Peter Tjeerdsma has extensive experience in CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) and regulatory roles. Peter is currently serving as the VP CMC and Regulatory at Synaffix BV since January 2020. In addition, they hold the position of Head of CMC at T3 Pharmaceuticals AG since January 2022.

Prior to their current roles, Peter worked as a CMC consultant and owner at Maggres-Pharma from October 2017. Peter also served as the Director CMC at Staten Biotechnology B.V. from October 2017 to February 2023.

Before joining Maggres-Pharma and Staten Biotechnology B.V., Peter worked at Crucell where they held various roles. This includes being a CMC Leader for several projects, such as an early stage development program of a multivalent filovirus vaccine, an accelerated late stage development program for a monovalent Ebola vaccine, and an early phase development program of a PEGylated Fab. Peter was also a trainer and coach in the JnJ FPX (flawless project execution) methodology at Crucell.

Peter started their career at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson in 2004. Peter held roles including API Technology Owner, Project Manager NPI, Associate Project Manager NPI, Technical Specialist/Technology Transfer, and Technical Specialist/Lead Investigator.

Before joining Janssen, they worked as a Process Technologist in the process development departement at Campina from October 2001 to August 2004. Peter'sresponsibilities included process troubleshooting, process design and modeling, initiation and execution of process improvement projects, coordination of cleaning validation, and participation in HACCP implementation project.

Overall, Peter Tjeerdsma has a diverse work experience in CMC, regulatory, project management, and process development across various companies in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Peter Tjeerdsma attended Melanchthon College Rotterdam from 1987 to 1993, where they completed their high school education. Peter then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Bioprocesstechnology at Wageningen University & Research from 1993 to 1999. Following this, Peter furthered their education at Delft University of Technology from 1999 to 2001, where they obtained a Professional Doctorate in Engineering with a specialization in Bioprocess Design.
