Alvaro Barahona Garcia

Alvaro Barahona Garcia has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2007. At XGroup, they served as a Software Engineer and Team Leader from 2007 to 2009. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Software Engineer for the Ministerio Secretaría General de Gobierno, developing web systems. In 2011, they joined Fusiona as a Software Engineer and Web Developer, where they worked on point redemption systems for Banco Santander and Movistar. Alvaro then moved to Blue Company in 2012 as a Software Engineer and Team Leader. In 2013, they joined Groupon as a Software Engineer. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer Technical Leader at Capitalizarme. Since 2019, they have been with Dafiti Group LATAM, first as a Head of Engineering Chile and then as a Tech Lead. In 2021, they were appointed Chief Technology Officer at Talana.

Alvaro Barahona Garcia completed their Ingeniero en Informatica degree at the Universidad de Ciencias de la Informática in 2005-2006, specializing in Desarrollo Web. Alvaro is currently studying for an Ingenieria en Informática degree at the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana.
