Geoff Hazel

Geoff Hazel has extensive work experience in the field of vision and AI. Geoff is currently the Director of Vision and AI at TARGAN Inc. starting from June 2022. Prior to this role, Geoff worked at Logos Technologies, Inc. for almost two decades. During their time at Logos Technologies, Geoff held multiple roles and made significant contributions. Geoff served as a Logos Technology Fellow from February 2011 to June 2022, providing technical guidance and acting as a principal investigator or processing lead on four programs. Geoff also led the Novel Algorithms and Processors group. From January 2006 to January 2011, Geoff was the Site Director of the Raleigh office, where they successfully grew the team to 25 members and pioneered Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI) processing, including photogrammetry, tracking, and exploitation. Prior to that, from March 2003 to January 2006, Geoff worked as a Scientist/Engineer at Logos Technologies, supporting the NGA customer with novel algorithm and software development, leading the WMD-search exploitation mission, and providing advice to the President's WMD Commission.

Geoff Hazel obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland from 1986 to 2000.
