Sean Kelley

Sean Kelley is a Senior Technical Recruiter for Tarvos Talent, LLC. Sean has been a long-time tech enthusiast – going back to the days of the Commodore64, his first computer. Upon being honorably discharged from two enlistments in the active duty US Army he went on to learn computer hardware (Comptia A+ certified!) and networking while pursuing his degree in Computer Information Systems at Herzing University. Taking his deep knowledge of break/fix, computer architecture, and networking Sean started his own computer retail company – growing to 8 staff and $1M in revenue in its first year. Adjusting to changes in the economy, Sean’s career took a detour where he worked with customers for a reputable biotech company – implementing process improvements around order fulfillment and logistics. Wanting to get back into the technology sector of work, he was recruited to a Fortune 500 staffing firm, where he rose to the top of his peer group doing contract and contract-to-hire placement of highly-qualified IT professionals. His technical recruiting experience did not only revolve around agency. Sean entered corporate recruiting as he joined the talent acquisition departments of multi-billion dollar organizations, one within the financial services industry, another within the department of defense contractor and health insurance sectors. As a trusted member of the technical talent scene, he has served as a member of two academic advisory boards at Madison College. The goal? Help the organization align the course curriculum with that of the increasing demands of the local information technology job market. Sean has served as a member of Wisconsin Recruiters for two years and was recognized for being the #1 individual fundraiser for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Man/Woman of the Year campaign in 2019. He resides in Madison, Wisconsin, with his wife, two cats, and two dogs. In his free time, Sean enjoys roleplaying games – like Dungeons and Dragons, so much that he produced a weekly podcast for over seven years.
