Saskia Decuypere

Honorary Research Fellow at Telethon Kids Institute

Saskia Decuypere has a diverse work experience in the field of research and academia. Saskia began their career as a Marie-Curie post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Glasgow in 2007, where they worked until 2009. After that, they joined the Institute of Tropical Medicine as a post-doc research fellow from 2009 to 2011. In 2012, they took on the role of Senior Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Western Australia. At the same time, they became an Associate Principal Investigator at the Telethon Kids Institute, where they worked until 2016. During this period, they also served as a Honorary Research Fellow at the Telethon Kids Institute from 2016 onwards. In 2014, Saskia Decuypere joined the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, taking on various roles including Visiting Researcher, Policy Advisor International Health, and currently as Advisor Strategic Research.

Saskia Decuypere obtained their PhD in Sciences from the University of Antwerp during the period of 2001 to 2007.
