Mike M.

Mike M. has extensive work experience in the field of application and product security. Mike has held several leadership roles in prominent technology companies.

Starting in 2006, Mike worked at Denim Group, where they began as a Quality Assurance tester and later became a Consultant. During their time at Denim Group, they gained experience in application security, development, website optimization, and SharePoint deployments.

In 2013, Mike joined The Advisory Board Company as an Application Security Lead and later became Director of Application Security. Mike played a crucial role in establishing and standardizing application security capabilities within the company. Mike implemented static analysis, built a satellite organization, and improved measurement and reporting metrics.

In 2016, Mike joined NetSuite as a Senior Manager of Application Security. Mike was responsible for the technical aspects of NetSuite's software security program. Under their leadership, the team expanded, automated work processes, improved metrics, and added new controls.

In 2018, Mike joined DigitalOcean as a Staff Engineer and later became the Director of Product Security. Mike built the foundation of the product security function and set the long-term vision for the security department. Mike focused on security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and coordinated with engineering teams on major product launches.

In 2020, Mike joined Fivetran as a Sr. Staff Engineer, specializing in application security. Mike contributed to the company's security initiatives until April 2021.

Most recently, Mike joined Temporal Technologies in April 2021 as the Head of Security.

Throughout their career, Mike has demonstrated expertise in building and managing security teams, implementing security programs, and addressing systemic vulnerabilities. Mike has a strong focus on strategic planning and relationship building to ensure long-term success in the field of application and product security.

Mike M. attended Trinity University from 2001 to 2005, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
