Jan Viebahn

Jan Viebahn is a Lead Data Scientist at TenneT TSO B.V. since 2018, previously serving as a Data Scientist. Prior experience includes roles as a Scientific Computing Researcher at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Utrecht University, with a focus on multi-scale dynamical systems and the physics of ocean circulation, respectively. Jan's research spans various aspects of climate science, including unsupervised learning, critical transition analysis, time series analysis, and software development. Jan completed a PhD in Physics at Kiel University, where research centered on ocean modeling and climate variability. Academic credentials also include a Master's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Bremen.
