Akhmed Rakhmati

Akhmed Rakhmati has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and machine learning. Akhmed started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Guelph in 2015, where they implemented backpropagation for neural networks and improved computation time.

In 2016, they worked as a High-Performance Computing Developer at Cognitive Systems Corp., where they developed a convolutional neural network model and conducted zone identification using satellite images.

In 2017, they continued their role as a High-Performance Computing Developer at the same company, focusing on motion localization and evaluating different machine learning models.

In 2018, Akhmed joined FOR.ai as a Researcher, and later moved to Tenstorrent Inc. where they worked as a Deep Learning Engineer. At Tenstorrent Inc., they made significant contributions to the Graph Compiler and developed tools for model-to-graph conversion.

Akhmed then progressed to the role of Staff Software Engineer at Tenstorrent Inc., where they co-led and optimized the ResNet-50 inference demo, developed a next-generation compiler stack, and standardized the testing infrastructure across different parts of the compiler stack.

In 2022, Akhmed joined Quantlab Group as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on developing software solutions.

Currently, they are working as a Principal Software Engineer at Tenstorrent Inc., utilizing their expertise in software engineering and deep learning to contribute to the company's projects.

Akhmed Rakhmati earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Guelph, studying from 2013 to 2018. In addition, they obtained various certifications from Coursera, including courses on Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning in 2017.
