Jake Thornton

Jake Thornton has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Jake currently works at TerrAscend as the Associate General Counsel & Head of Regulatory Compliance & Regulatory Affairs. Prior to joining TerrAscend, Jake held various roles at Cresco Labs, Quintairos, Prieto, Wood, & Boyer, P.A., and the Law Offices of David Wiener. Jake has also served as a Trial Attorney at the Law Offices of David Wiener and as a Supreme Court Rule 711 Law Clerk at the Cook County Public Defender's Office. Earlier in their career, Jake worked as an Assistant Probation Officer Intern at the Superior Court of St. Croix, USVI. Throughout their career, they have been involved in regulatory compliance, licensing, quality assurance, safety initiatives, public affairs, governmental affairs, and drafting/reviewing corporate policies and standard operating procedures. Jake has also been part of M&A due diligence reviews and negotiations. Jake has experience managing teams of over 10 individuals and representing corporations to jurisdictional regulators.
