Paul Button

Paul Button has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on reservoir engineering and resource development. Paul is currently the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at TerraStor, a company they recently established in 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Vice President of Resource Development at Poplar Resources LLC from 2019 to 2022, where they specialized in oil and gas exploration and production, particularly in enhanced oil recovery. Before joining Poplar Resources, Paul worked as a Principal Consultant at Button Petroleum Management from 2016 to 2022, providing reservoir engineering consulting services tailored to client needs. Paul also has significant experience as a Sr Reservoir Engineer at SM Energy Company from 2005 to 2016, a Reservoir Engineer at Kinder Morgan in 2004, and a Reservoir Engineer at Marathon Oil Corporation from 1998 to 2004. Throughout their career, Paul has developed expertise in conventional and unconventional resource development, reservoir management, reserve analysis, and acquisition and divestiture processes.

Paul Button attended Montana Technological University from 1993 to 1997. Paul earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Petroleum Engineering during this period.
