Hannah Ferriby

Hannah Ferriby is an Environmental Data Scientist at Tetra Tech since April 2023, bringing a wealth of experience in environmental sciences and engineering. Prior roles include ORISE Fellow at the US Environmental Protection Agency from April 2022 to March 2023 and DEVELOP Intern at NASA for a brief period in early 2022. As a Graduate Research Assistant at Michigan State University from June 2020 to March 2022, Hannah developed a program using satellite imagery and machine learning to identify fishponds in Bangladesh, aiding policymakers in aquaculture. Additional experience includes environmental engineering at Somat Engineering, soil and water sampling for contamination identification, and internship at the USDA Agricultural Research Service focused on STEM outreach and energy audits. Academic achievements include a Master of Science in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan.
