Michael McDonough

Michael McDonough is an experienced professional in emergency management and education, currently serving as the Professor and Department Chair for the Emergency Management BAS Program at Tyler Junior College since January 2024. Additionally, Michael holds the position of Agency Instructor I at Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service - TEEX. With a long-standing career in emergency response education consulting at EMTraining.net, Michael has also served in various leadership roles, including Executive Administrator for Smith County Emergency Services District 2 and Administrator for Cambria Community Healthcare District. Previous positions include EMS Program Director at Santa Barbara City College and Paramedic Program Director at Cuesta College. Michael's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Health Sciences with a focus on EMS Leadership from The George Washington University, a Doctor of Education in Transformative Leadership from the University of New England, and a Bachelor of Arts in Emergency/Disaster Management from American Public University.
