Christopher Bird

Associate Professor, College of Science, Life Sciences at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi

He was hired as an Asst Professor in Marine Molecular Ecology in 2012. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut in 1997 with a BS in Biology. He earned a PhD in Botany with a specialization in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology from the University of Hawaii in 2006 (advisor Celia M. Smith). From 2007-2012 He was a PostDoctoral Fellow at the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology (advisors: Rob Toonen & Brian Bowen).
