Dr. Karyn Collins

Dr. Karyn Collins has over 20 years of work experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Most recently, they served as the Regional Director of Legendary People at Texas Roadhouse, starting in 2019. Prior to that, they were the Head of Human Resources at Ultra Steak, Inc. from 2016 to 2019, where they oversaw all HR functions for the company and its support center. In 2015, they worked as a Team Member Relations Specialist at Diversified Restaurant Holdings, Inc. From 2011 to 2015, they held a Human Resources role at Big Boy Restaurants International, LLC. Dr. Karyn'scareer began in 2000 at Landry's, where they worked as a Senior Service Manager/Training Manager until 2006. Prior to working at Landry's, Dr. Collins worked at Brinker International as a Restaurant Manager from 2006 to 2011.

Dr. Karyn Collins holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Baker College, obtained between 2019 and 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law from Tulane University Law School, completing their studies between 2016 and 2018. Dr. Karyn also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA degree in Human Resources Management and Employee Development, as well as an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Human Resources Management and Services, both from Baker College. Before pursuing their college education, Dr. Collins attended Fitzgerald Senior High School. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR), and Professional of Human Resources (PHR) certifications. Dr. Karyn also holds a Dale Carnegie Certificate of Training and Development.
