Chris Bernal

Chris Bernal has extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and business intelligence. Chris is currently the Head of Data Engineering at The AA since April 2023. Previously, Chris held the role of BI Engineering Manager at Brit Insurance from July 2021 to April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant at Liberty Specialty Markets from March 2020 to July 2021. From November 2013 to March 2020, Chris served as the Director/Consultant at CDA TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED, providing consulting services. Chris also worked as a BI Consultant at Northdoor plc from February 2013 to November 2013 and as a Senior BI Analyst Developer at Equity Insurance from November 2011 to February 2013. Chris began their career as a Database Developer at Equitas\\ITNET, where they worked from November 1997 to August 2001, specializing in data extraction, Datawarehouse development, and MI reporting. Throughout their career, Chris has acquired expertise in various technologies such as Datastage, SSIS, PL/SQL, SSRS, Crystal Reports, and Access.

Chris Bernal attended Sweyne School from 1989 to 1994. Chris then proceeded to SEEVIC College from 1994 to 1996, studying Maths, Economics, and Geography at A Level.
