Matthew Schmidt has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of human resources and benefits management. Matthew is currently working as the Vice President of People Operations and Total Rewards at Advanced Group since February 2022. In this role, they are responsible for establishing corporate benefits philosophy, leading a data-driven global strategy, and overseeing day-to-day operations such as HRIS, benefits administration, payroll, and employee onboarding/off-boarding.

Prior to their current position, Matthew held various roles in renowned companies such as Axiom, Advisor Compliance Associates, L.L.C., ADP, Insurope, Lockton Companies, Bank of America/ HRH/ Willis, and Prudential Financial. These roles focused on leading global compensation and benefits teams, overseeing benefits programs, managing budget, plan changes/updates, local compliance, plan administration, communications, broker/vendor relationships, and running open enrollment processes.

Throughout their career, Matthew has also demonstrated expertise in strategic alliance management, sales, and client relationship development. Matthew has successfully delivered cutting-edge solutions in global benefits administration and human capital management technology.

Matthew Schmidt completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Economics from Rutgers University. Matthew then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Political Economy from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Additionally, they obtained a degree in German Language and Literature from the Goethe-Institute in Freiburg, Germany.
