Glenn Bean

Glenn Bean is a Research Scientist at The Aerospace Corporation since August 2014, specializing in the additive manufacturing of metal alloys and investigating process-structure-property relationships. Prior to this role, Glenn Bean served as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff and a Member of the Technical Staff, Materials Engineer at the University of Florida from August 2009 to May 2014, focusing on the effect of Niobium additions on titanium-aluminide intermetallics and the design of self-healing aluminum composites. Glenn Bean's career began at NASA as a Materials Failure Analysis Co-op from June 2004 to August 2008, contributing to failure analysis investigations related to materials for space operations. Glenn Bean earned a Ph.D. and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
